REGISTER TO VOTE ONLINE
You can register online if
1. You have a Louisiana Driver’s License or a Louisiana Identification Card
2. AND you are at least 17 years old (you must be 18 to vote)
3. AND you reside in LA and in the parish in which you plan to register and vote
4. AND if you were convicted of a felony, you are not in prison and you have received certification of your eligibility to register to vote

Who can vote by mail in every election?
Anyone over 65, temporarily absent, offshore, nursing home residents, out-of-state student, involuntary confinement.
Who can vote by mail in the July and August 2020 elections only?
1. People at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19 due to serious underlying medical conditions as identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
2. People subject to a medically necessary quarantine or isolation order as a result of COVID-19
3. People advised by a health care provider to self-quarantine due to COVID-19 concerns
4. People experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and seeking a medical diagnosis
5. People caring for an identified individual who is subject to a medically necessary quarantine or isolation order as a result of COVID-19 or who has been advised by a health care provider to self-quarantine due to COVID-19 concerns.
How to Request a Mail Ballot – Online
Online: https://voterportal.sos.la.gov or in the Geaux Vote App.
1. Request the ballot through the website or the app OR
2. Print the application for mail ballot from the Secretary of State website and mail to the Registrar of Voters:

When do you return a mail ballot?
Four days before the election for all voters except military, overseas, and hospitalized voters
One day before the election for military, overseas, and hospitalized voters.
NOTE: A Vote by Mail ballot will be mailed to you only if the address you provide in the request is the same as the address in your voter registration.
